Bold Machines 2014

At the end of 2014, I had hired the best team at MakerBot who could really do everything better than me. I’m a generalist and things had gotten serious enough that I had hired the best specialists and I was bored. I left my postion as CEO and started up Bold Machines, a studio to apply all the tech we had built at MakerBot, plus the more complicated machines of Stratasys to help artist do bold things. We did projects with Ashley Zelinskie and Ronald Rael. When I left Stratasys, I took this workshop with me and transformed it into my Bre & Co. endeavor in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
