Before the pandemic, I scanned a lot of friends with my phone. While at MakerBot, I tried to buy a scanner company, but instead Apple bought it and they use it for their front facing security camera. It works as a 3D scanner and I built a non-trivial software workflow to go from scan to painting designs for the Bantam Tools WaterColorBot.
